I just have to say, that when you hear the phrase: "What were video games like in 1995?", you feel a bit old. Tonight I sat outside with some neighbors, enjoying some well deserved beers when talks turned to video game consoles. Well naturally we talked about Wi and PS3 and how great and advanced things were. Well, my neighbors 10 year old was there and asked about the first video game ever. My thoughts turned immediately to Atari and Frogger. The best game ever can I say! Well, as I was walking away, he asked what video games were like in 1995! I had to laugh because 1995 was not that long ago and technology had already come a long way! It suddenly occurred to me that the days where Michael Jackson ruled and where Mario Brothers dominated the video game scene were long over, sadly enough! Kids these days (yep I said it!) don't understand or appreciate the history of the 90's, the greatest decade out there, next to the 80's of course! I guess, after a few beers and some good convo, I was feeling sorry for myself because indeed, I am old enough to remember these things, and appreciate them! And I must be old since I used the phrase: "kids these days...". That in itself dates me!
Did you ever know about the Neo-Geo??? That was popular maybe even before Atari and was way more expensive!! E bought one used about 7 years ago and then resold it. These things are expensive even used!! But it had some really cool games too... I personally ahve not played a video game since Super Mario Bros on the original NES (and I ruled at that game!)

I LOVED super mario brothers. Games are not what they used to be. Nicole posted a few pic's from yesterday. Check them out! :)
