So Bri and I took the fam to the State Fair yesterday. We thought we'd brave the crowds with 2 small children. I was definitely afraid of how the girls would act, but much to my surprise, they both were absolutely wonderful! We were only there for a few short hours, which is plenty for me. But, we did manage to stuff our faces with several fried items. My all time favorite is deep fried cheesecurds. They were so tasty, and being the crazy pregnant person that I am, I couldn't, and still can't stop thinking about them. They are so heavenly, and to think, I only get them once a year, if that!
Besides eating, we checked out some of the animal barns, we saw horses, pigs and goats. Boy were they smelly. Here are some pics of the horses:
My SIL, Kristi thought this was a pretty funny picture to take, a bunch of horses asses! Kristi joined us at the fair, and has provided all the pictures, since I decided to leave my memory card at home!
Later, we got some Sweet Martha's cookies, Brian got a footlong pronto pup, and Kristi got some deep fried ravioli. Honestly, these people will fry anything and put it on a stick!
Annika also got to go on a ride, pretty much the only one for her size! She had so much fun and is such a big girl. Let me tell you, I was a little teary eyed watching my "baby" go on her very first ride, all by herself!
B had a good time too!
As much fun as the fair can be, I won't be back again this year. The girls, Brian and I had a good family day, we ate a lot and saw a lot, but it's a lot of work with 2 kids. Maybe again next year, with our triple stroller???
It was fun...I forgot about the horses' asses until I saw that pic! LOL
