Well, I'm officially 28 weeks today, and officially on modified bedrest. I spent a good portion of my night in labor and delivery last night with timeable contractions. Although they weren't too strong, they were definitely there and timeable. So, based on how early in the pregnancy this is, and my uterine weakness, I am on some drugs that help manage contractions and modified bedrest. Not something any pregnant lady wants to experience. I am now forced to find help in any way possible regarding the care of my children, housework, shopping, etc. I am feeling very frustrated by all of this as I don't like feeling useless to my family. Please just pray that these contractions are controllable and that we won't have to deal with the idea of delivering even earlier than we have to. I need this boy to come out strong and healthy.
On a happier note, I passed my glucose test with flying colors and at this very moment, I am enjoying a delicious gourmet cookie. If there is one thing I will enjoy, it's eating sweets! Bennett is measuring 1 week ahead and I am so grateful for that. I was also told that these contractions will help strengthen his lungs, so that is a positive to all of this. I am scheduled to see my dr. next week and will most likely go to weekly or every other week appointments to have a fetal fibrocentin test done. This test helps predict labor, but is only valid for 2 weeks. Last night everything tested great, but we'll have to retest in 2 weeks. So, everyone keep us in their prayers. We will need all the strength we can get. Thanks for listening and I will update as I can. I apologize in advance if I slack on blog reading and commenting. I promise I'll do my best!
oh, wow! i had no idea... will be thinking of you all... stay in there little baby bennett!!!

Michelle, I know how difficult it is to be on bedrest with two little ones around. I ended up on bedrest with all 4 of my kids and it is extremely frustrating...and boring. If there is anything at all I can do for you please let me know. I'm glad to here you can continue with your nutty bars and Coke. Bedrest without those would simply be unbearable!

Sorry to hear about the bedrest. I can't imagine doing it. Hugs for you. I hope everything goes okay.

Shit, this isn't good! I bet you were pretty scared last night. I wish I had more days off so I could watch the girls...I do have Monday off so if you want some help that day, let me know.
And I had to laugh at Heather's comment. yes, heather I am sooooo GIFTED. LOL. Michelle, you can change it so those stupid headlines don't appear...

Haha!!
Total sidenote here... but I was glancing over your sidebar for some new reads and as always, there's Kristi's link. For some reason though, her tagline caught my eye. It reads, "I am a gifted education specialist" and I'm sure I've subconsciously read it a million times that way (as in GIFTED EDUCATION specialist). But for some reason when I glanced at it it totally stood out to me as I am a GIFTED education specialist... like jeez Kristi- I know you're good at your job as an education specialist, but brag a little why don't you!! HAHA!
Anyway, just thought I'd share my little laugh at myself.
Have a restful night Michelle!

Gosh Michelle, that's kind of a shocker! I'm so glad everything looks good for the time being and I hope things settle down for you and Bennett.
I know there will be more than enough help for you in the weeks to come as your friends and family surround your family with support.
Wish I was closer and I could help in some way! I'll be praying for you all.
