Well, the good news is I'm off modified bedrest, bad news is, I'm on full bedrest! At least for a little while until things settle down.
I was in labor and delivery this morning/afternoon with contractions, again. I woke up having very crampy contractions which I thought was strange since I did nothing all day yesterday, and slept a full night. So it wasn't like I was active or anything. Well, I called the on call at about 10 and he told me to head on in for some shots of Terbutaline and monitoring. The contractions had really slowed when we got there, but then they hooked me up and they were coming fast and strong. They finally got around to giving me my first shot and that really seemed to help. After another hour and another shot I was sent home with more drugs and the bedrest instructions. Well, unfortunately, the drugs aren't helping all that much and I'm still contracting more than I should. The stupid thing is, they didn't check my cervix, nor did they do the fetal fibronectin test (predicts labor in the next 2 weeks). So, not sure if these contractions are doing anything or not.
What's worse is that Brian is in AZ until Tuesday afternoon, so my mom is shacking it up with us. Brian would really like to put the girls into daycare for the next month, I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I hate that my mom has to be used so much. She's going to be exhausted, and well, she's the grandma, not the mom. She's such a trooper though, she's fed the girls, got them ready for bed and will put them to bed. How nice.
Soooo, that's what's new with me. Not really all that fantastic, but I just thought I'd share. OH AND GET THIS, MY DR. IS AT THE FRICKIN' GRAMMY'S! She sucks!
Oh I hope everything is okay. I hated to hear that you are on full bed rest. I'd think about the day care option. Maybe a couple days a week, it couldn't hurt and it would give your mom a breather now and then. I'll be thinking of you.

Wow, what timing, huh? It stinks my parents are gone for the whole month until he is born and Brian is away for a few more nights. Good thing your mom is close! I wish I could do more to help you during the day when you need it. You might just have to put the girls in daycare for the next month, there isn't much else you can do...someone else needs to watch them while you rest. I hope the next 5 weeks go extra fast!

Jeesh, Michelle. Bennett needs to hold out just a little longer.
You might want to consider the daycare option. I know you might not want to, but it might help you out. The girls would probably have a blast playing with other kids.
Well, thank god for your mom. What in the heck would we do with out them??
