***I started writing this on Sunday
Today was a gorgeous 70 degree day here in good ole' MN. Unfortunately, I spent a good 6 hours of it painting! Yeah, that was awesome.
The weekend before Bennett was born, Brian and my dad installed our new kitchen floor and left the baseboards off so I could paint. Well, I finally got around to painting today, 6 weeks later! However, painting a kitchen is a PIA because of all the taping that's required. I like the final product though. At first I didn't know how I felt about it, but I've decided it can stay! Check out our new floor and paint:
After I showered, the fam and I headed to the park. It was very clear that we weren't the only ones with that idea. It was packed! But, the girls had a blast climbing and sliding and swinging. We came home and had a nice bbq outside and played until almost sunset. I was pretty bummed that the day had to end. It's addicting to be outside in this weather!
On Friday, we had a birthday party for Brian. I got a half keg and we attempted to relive our glory days! It turns out, we aren't so good at drinking like we did in college. We paid for it the next day! Here are some pics from the fiesta.
The birthday boy (his birthday isn't until this Friday)
My sister Erin, Stew and Annika:
Uncle Jeff and Bennett:
Me and my friend Nikki:
And last but not least, some serious lookin' guitar heroes!
Bri and I spent Saturday recovering since neither of us drink like that anymore. It is now Tuesday and the weather has been fantastic for 3 days in a row. I am working on a nice tan here and I couldn't be happier to get a little color in my life. The rest of this week is busy. Bianca has her 15 month doctor appointment today and then tomorrow she goes to my mom's. Thursday the girls are with my mother in law and I have my 6 week postpartum visit. Friday is playgroup and then it's the weekend! Yeah, I love weekends. Hope you all have a wonderful (and warm) week!
your kitchen is beautiful, michelle. that floor is awesome too!

Your kitchen looks fantastic. It often amazes my what I was able to do in college and how little it takes now to feel horrible the next day.

Love, love, love, the green. If I could paint every room in our house green, I would. So far, I have accomplished 3 different shades, in our bedroom, Ethan's room, and one of our living rooms...love green! It looks great with your floors. I can totally sympathize about the amount of taping in kitchens...I painted ours twice in 4 years.
I love when we try to relive the glory days...like when we used to go to the Rueb on Tuesdays, school nights...I can hardly believe I'm awake at 9:30pm right now. Someday...like when we're 50, we'll party again :>
